WMH Receives Corazon Re-Accreditation for Cardiac Programs

(Honesdale, PA, October 9, 2026)… Wayne Memorial Hospital has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing high-quality cardiac care, earning re-accreditation from Corazon for both its Chest Pain Center and Cath/PCI program.

Corazon, a national leader in cardiovascular specialty services based in Pittsburgh, granted the re-accreditations following a rigorous review process. Both programs at Wayne Memorial Hospital met or exceeded Corazon’s Accreditation Standards, national societal guidelines and requirements established by the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH).  Wayne Memorial’s successful re-accreditation reflects the work of physicians, nurses, technicians and staff throughout the hospital who work together to provide timely, coordinated care.

Wayne Memorial’s Cath/PCI program provides interventional cardiac services for patients who may need procedures such as cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Maintaining accreditation requires an ongoing commitment to quality, patient safety and nationally recognized standards of care. “This is truly a team accomplishment,” said Frank Reid, Lead Cardiovascular Care Coordinator, “Our staff works incredibly hard to make sure our patients receive excellent care from the moment they come through our doors.” Cassidy Cohen, Cardiovascular Care Coordinator said of the re-accreditation, “Earning re-accreditation for both programs validates our team’s work and reinforces our commitment to continually improving the cardiac care we provide.”
