A Tribute to a Cherished Friend on the WMH Giving Tree

(Honesdale, PA, October 29, 2026)…The Giving Tree at Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) has a new leaf, dedicated in loving memory of Patricia Liedel. The engraved brass leaf was generously gifted by Frank Borelli, a family friend and former Wayne Memorial Health System (WMHS) board member. Patricia’s family was presented with the heartfelt tribute at the hospital in Honesdale this week, following her passing in July. Husband Larry Liedel, son Darryl Liedel, and daughter Laurie Stramaglia were joined by several Wayne Memorial representatives at the presentation.

Borelli was a longtime WMHS board member who served as treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee. His expertise in the financial and healthcare world served Wayne Memorial well. As an added investment in his friendship with the Liedels and the Health System, Borelli chose the Giving Tree as a permanent place of honor. As part of the hospital’s memorial display, the leaf ensures that Patricia’s warmth, spirit, and enduring legacy will continue to shine brightly, offering comfort and inspiration to everyone who walks through these halls.
