Celebrating Respiratory Care Week at Wayne Memorial Hospital!
This week, Oct. 25-31, Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) is recognizing the dedicated respiratory care professionals who play a vital role in keeping our patients and community breathing easier. From helping patients manage chronic respiratory conditions to providing lifesaving care during medical emergencies, our respiratory team is an essential part of the WMH healthcare team.
Working throughout the hospital, respiratory therapists provide breathing treatments, oxygen therapy, ventilator support and respiratory assessments. They work closely with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to care for patients of all ages, including those experiencing asthma, COPD, pneumonia and other breathing difficulties. Their expertise not only supports patients during hospitalization but also helps improve respiratory health throughout our community.
Chief of Staff Dr. Sean McVeigh said, “Our team makes a difference in our patients’ lives every day. I’m proud of this team and the care they provide to our community.”
“Our respiratory care team is an incredibly dedicated group who bring compassion, skill and teamwork to everything they do,” said Matt McFarland, Respiratory Manager.
Happy Respiratory Care Week! Thank you to the WMH respiratory care team for your commitment to providing exceptional care and helping our patients breathe easier. To learn more about services available at Wayne Memorial Hospital, visit
