WMH Cardiac Rehabilitation Program Re-Certified

(Honesdale, October 4,2019)…It’s the only peer review accreditation process of its kind, and once again Wayne Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program passed with “flying colors,” according to its director Nadine Greco, MS. The American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) awarded the three-year recertification of the unit after Greco and her team provided extensive documentation of their practices. The Cardiac Rehab Program, which is recommended for many patients following a cardiac event, entails 36 sessions of education and monitored exercise to help patients improve their overall health and avoid further cardiac issues. Heart disease is still the number one cause of death in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
