Every year, Wayne Memorial Hospital has the honor of recognizing team members who go above and beyond in service to our patients, our community, and one another. Choosing an Employee of the Year is never easy because the heart of WMH beats strong in every department. We are incredibly proud of all of this year’s nominees and deeply appreciative of each and every member of the WMH team. They are what make this organization extraordinary.
Please join us in celebrating our 2025 Employee of the Year, Jim Hockenbury Jr., RN.

“Jim embodies the dedication and integrity we strive for every day,” said Wayne Memorial Hospital CEO Jim Pettinato. “He treats every patient with dignity and supports his coworkers without hesitation. We are fortunate to have him on our team, and this recognition is well deserved.”
James Hockenbury, WMH Chief of Ancillary Services, shared his pride both as a colleague and as a father. “Watching Jim grow as a caregiver has been one of my greatest joys. I am incredibly proud of the nurse he is and the example he sets for others every day.”
Congratulations to Jim and to all of our nominees. Today we celebrate these individuals, but every day we celebrate the entire WMH team for the compassion, skill, and heart they bring to our hospital and community.
