Foundation Mini-Grants

Wayne Memorial Health Foundation offers mini-grants that support community organizations whose endeavors are focused on injury and disease prevention, as well as the treatment and promotion of good health for residents in the Wayne Memorial Health System service area.

Recipients to date include :

Communities That Care (CTC) funding for special after-school programs. CTC, which serves children at risk, used the monies for swimming lessons at Woodloch Sports Complex and for a martial arts/karate program at Preston School in Lakewood.

Wayne Highlands School District was awarded funding to launch an Advanced Placement (AP) Biology course. The monies helped buy books and fund other course supplies.

Applications are usually submitted in the spring. For more information or an application, contact G. Richard Garman, executive director of the Foundation at (570) 253-8272.
