On January 17, 2024, I went for my first appointment at the Wayne Memorial Urology Clinic, and I was impressed. First of all, the clinic was extremely clean, and the people were so helpful, friendly and competent. Theresa checked me in very efficiently. Marla, my nurse, was also helpful and answered my questions. I was prepared by another friendly nurse who put me at ease for my visit with Dr. Preate. He is extremely knowledgeable and in doing a cystoscopy was able to tell me what was going on and prescribed a regimen of treatment to keep me on track and sustain my urological health. Upon checking out Theresa and Marla helped set up needed appointments that also worked for me. I felt like a human being and the concern for my needs was graciously and efficiently addressed.
Thank you! –James Moran

I had a cystoscopy done by Dr. Preate at Wayne Memorial Hospital On Jan 24 2024. Lehigh Valley Urology at Steamtown Mall in Scranton, lost a great urologist and Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale gained a great urologist. The receptionist and nursing staff at the same day surgery were professional and kind and all their help was appreciated .
Thanking you Thomas Langan

I’d like to say thank you to Dr. Preate and his staff for their kindness and understanding with my urology procedure yesterday, 2/7/2024.
I was scared to death with what they were about to do to me for the first time in my life. The nurses made me feel very comfortable.
Dr. Preate was straightforward. I watched it all on a monitor as he explained what he was doing and why.
Thank you to all that were involved.

I have had enough surgeries in Hospital in Conn. And in other parts of Pa. But the whole staff that took such care of me going through 3 breast cancer surgeries in 5 weeks, it was tough, but each and everyone, from start to finish during my 3 stays there and ever cared about my husband, and asked him if he needed anything, I, found Wayne Hospital, to be the best care I ever had, and I would recommend the Hospital and the whole team players there, I promise they actually really care about your welfare I hope I don’t need to go back to any hospital, but I can’t say enough about all the staffers and doctor affiliated with Wayne hospital, you Truly made me feel special. At the end of February a very good friend, roommate and ex-husband of mine became very ill. My son, who is an RN, went into action due to his father’s respiratory status, took him to the ER. They were met immediately, getting respiratory status under control, and with various nurses and doctor. Several tests, blood, CXR, breathing treatments were performed. As such, Cardio doctor surmised that a cardiac event was also in play. Up to the cath lab, where it was noted that that the man’s original stent was blocked, and a new one was needed. Because of the state he was in, it was necessary to put him on a respirator. The Hospitalist on duty was fantastic! The family advised that the patient, their dad, did not want to be in this position, they agreed for the healing process. Through many tests, kidney failure, talks with the nurses and the doc, by day five it was agreed to remove him from the vent. I cannot say how much the staff in ICU, the doc and all, went beyond not just their physical tasks, they were emotionally involved. He then went to 4, and the family decided Hospice. All on 4 were great and the Hospice Nurse was the greatest! He passed on March 2nd, peaceful and without pain. I want to thank all who were involved, who put up with this crazy family of mine, and it was performed professionally and genuine caring.
