Honesdale, PA (October 27, 2025) — The Pinnacle Family Health Center, an internal medicine practice of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC), is pleased to welcome Mary “Katie” Waldrep, CRNP, FNP-C, as an advanced practice provider at its Tafton office. While new to the practice, Waldrep is no stranger to the community, having served patients for the last 10 years as a Registered Nurse.
“Moving to Wayne County remains one of the best decisions I have ever made,” said Waldrep. “I like to joke that I’m not from here but got here as soon as I could.”
During the past decade she worked in a variety of healthcare settings including ICU, OR, and Labor & Delivery on the inpatient side to Health Center Director at a summer camp in Equinunk, PA. She most recently served as a Labor & Deliver Nurse at the New Beginnings Birthing Suite at Wayne Memorial Hospital, a clinical affiliate of WMCHC.
“I loved my experience with moms and newborns,” she stated. Adding “I love helping all patients and know the opportunity to care for adults will be equally fulfilling.” Waldrep says with her philosophy to “promote health and safety across the life continuum” she “looks forward to bringing this attitude and mindset” to adult patients at Pinnacle.
Waldrep earned a Master of Science degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Misericordia University, Dallas, PA and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of West Florida, Pensacola, FL. She completed most of her clinical rotations while studying to become an FNP at WMCHC facilities, giving her a behind the scenes look at the offices and mission of the organization itself.
“When I graduated, I knew I wanted to care for the people of our community and remain part of the WMCHC family,” stated Waldrep.
Patients age 18 and older wishing to establish with Waldrep as their primary care provider at Pinnacle Family Health Center where she practices with Drs Michael Peterson and Neha Pancholy and Physician Assistant Madeline Carey, may call 570-226-2151.
