Health Centers Week Proclaimed in Wayne County

(Honesdale, August 8, 2025) … Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) was presented with a proclamation from the Wayne County Commissioners declaring August 3rd – 9th as National Health Center Week. During the presentation the commissioners described WMCHC as an asset to the community for its continued provision of accessible and affordable care to residents of the county. WMCHC Chief Development Officer Erica Brown stated that across all of its sites the community health centers provide care to nearly 58,000 patients and conduct over 222,000 visits annually.

WMCHC is a federally qualified health center with over 20 office sites across four counties. Services include primary care, women’s health, pediatrics, podiatry, dental and behavioral health as well as walk-in care for non-life-threatening medical needs. For more information, visit www.wmchc.net.
