Dr. Richard Hacker Now a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians

Honesdale, PA (April 11, 2024)— Richard Hacker, MD, FAAFP, a primary care physician at the Northern Wayne Family Health Center in Lakewood, PA has achieved the Degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), a medical association representing nearly 130,000 physicians, residents and medical students nationwide www.aafp.org.

Dr. Hacker has been practicing with WMCHC since 2013 as a family physician at the Northern Wayne Family Health Center. Additionally, he served as the Medical Director of WMCHC’s Lake Region Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine (now Lake Region Walk-in Care) in Honesdale from October of 2020 to December of 2023.

In order to receive the AAFP Degree of Fellow, Dr. Hacker was required to meet the following criteria: minimum six-year membership in the AAFP, completion of extensive continuing medical education, participation in public service programs, as well as conducting original research and serving as a teacher in family medicine.
