WMH Auxiliary Other Shops Marks Big 4-0!
(Honesdale, May 9, 2017)….Staying power! The Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s Other Shop on Main Street in Honesdale has been in town “a lot longer than most businesses,” said Sandy Kline, Other Shop committee chairperson. “We haven’t changed our name for 40 years!” Kline and about 50 other people celebrated the shop’s ruby anniversary on Monday, May 8th, with cake, photos, speeches and board displays of historical photos. An aide to State Senator Lisa Baker (R), Andrew Seder, presented the Other Shop committee with a special citation. The shop began as a consignment operation and today runs as a successful thrift shop. In honor of the anniversary, Kline said 50% discounts would be offered all week.
