Obstetrician/Gynecologist Joins Women’s Health Center  

Honesdale, PA (August 18, 2020)—Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) welcomes Obstetrician/Gynecologist Angela Tang, MD, to its staff of providers at the Women’s Health Center. Dr. Tang sees patients at two outpatient offices—Honesdale and Lords Valley. Additionally, she facilitates births and performs surgical procedures at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.

“From my first meeting, the strong feelings of family and community were evident,” said Dr. Tang regarding her decision to come to Wayne Memorial to further her career. “I am excited to contribute comprehensive and conscientious care to the community that has welcomed me with open arms.”

Dr. Tang completed her OB/GYN residency at Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital in New York where she served as the OB/GYN Chief Resident. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth, Dominica, West Indies graduating with High Honors. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, Canada, double majoring in Physiology and Human Biology.

“We are very excited to have Dr. Tang practicing with us,” stated Kara Poremba, RN practice manager, Women’s Health Center. “We look forward to having her become an integral member of our team of OB/GYNs and Certified Nurse Midwives.”

The Women’s Health Center offers healthcare to women across the lifespan at its offices in Honesdale, Lords Valley, Hamlin and Carbondale. Most private insurances and managed care plans are accepted. Registered Nurse Care Coordinators work with patients to utilize the Healthy Beginnings Plus Program. Additionally, a sliding fee scale is offered to those who qualify.
