(Honesdale, November 18, 2011)…Bruce Mackle has good friends. Twenty-eight of them contributed $100 each to acquire a leaf in his name on the Wayne Memorial Health Foundation’s Giving Tree in the hospital lobby. The funds help support the Foundation’s mission to provide and maintain healthcare services for the community now and into the future.

(Honesdale, April 26, 2011)… Non-profit groups seeking funding may qualify for a Community Mini-Grant from the Wayne Memorial Health Foundation (WMHF). The grants are geared towards organizations focused on “injury and disease prevention and treatment and the promotion of good health for the residents in the Wayne Memorial Health System service area.” That area includes Wayne and Pike Counties in Pennsylvania and southern Sullivan County, New York.

(Honesdale, March 4, 2011)… The children of a former member of the Wayne Memorial Hospital medical staff and his wife who dedicated their lives to learning and to the residents of Wayne County have chosen a fitting legacy for their parents: a scholarship endowment fund. The Dr. Howard R. and Marion C. Patton Memorial Nursing Scholarship will help a student fulfill a dream at the Wayne Memorial School of Nursing program, a partnership with Luzerne County Community College (LCCC).
