Hamlin Family Health Center Expansion Complete

Honesdale, PA (September 24, 2020) — The Hamlin Family Health Center (HFHC) welcomed patients to the facility’s new 5,500 square foot expansion on September 10, seven months after the start of construction which included a two-month COVID-19 furlough.

The new clinical offices house the internal medicine practices of Dr. Charles Aronica and Norina Manassy, PA-C in addition to Women’s Health by obstetrician/gynecologist Joanne Pellicane, MD. In order to optimize patient flow and comfort within the growing practice, Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) renovated another portion of the existing structure on Route 191 South. The new section includes its own waiting room, reception and check-out areas as well as nine exam rooms, two nurses’ stations and a conference room.

“In addition to our Board of Directors who had the foresight to approve this capital project, I’d also like to express gratitude to the Chatlos Foundation for its generous donation used to defray some of our expenses,” stated Frederick Jackson, executive director, WMCHC.

The original section of the Hamlin Family Health Center continues to be utilized for Walk-in Care and outpatient services as well as primary care offered by Dr. Charles Kovalchick and Dr. Samuel Ganz.

All primary care providers are accepting new patients at the Hamlin Family Health Center. Appointments for initial visits can be made by calling 570-689-9965.
