At Wayne Memorial Health Foundation, we respect your privacy. We believe in safeguarding personal
information and have created standards to ensure that donor privacy is protected. The Foundation's
website, which can be reached by going to www.wmh.org and clicking on Wayne Health Foundation on the
menu bar, is intended to provide information related to the purpose, history and activities of the
Foundation, including our grants, programs, awards, special events, funding needs and giving opportunities.
If, at any time, you choose not to receive these communications, you may contact the Foundation and we
will gladly remove your name from our mailing list.
Donor Recognition - We offer periodic recognition to thank our donors for their support. Forms of recognition include publishing donor names in annual reports, the donor and benefactor newsletter (Insight), advertisements in local newspapers, signage on the various campuses of Wayne Memorial Hospital and its affiliates, and at special events. Donors have the right to request that their donation by anonymous and that their
name not be used in any of these venues.
Information We Collect - At Wayne Memorial Health Foundation, we collect personally identifiable information,
but only information that our users provide to us. When users come to our site, we may collect some non-personally
identifiable information that is used to determine the number of visits to different pages on our site, to improve
access to our content, based on our user's browsers and operating system types. This information is not linked to
any personal information submitted online when participating in any activities. The Wayne Memorial Health Foundation
website does not use the software technology called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that can be placed in
user's computer browsers to store their preferences. Cookies themselves do no contain any personally identifiable
information, although cookies could enable us to relate a user's use of this website to personal information that
the user had provided. However, as indicated immediately above, the Foundation does not currently use cookies for any purpose.
Electronic Personal Records - Donor information is maintained in a secured database, and only authorized personnel
have access to this information, and only for appropriate Foundation businesses purposes. We will disclose information
we maintain as required by law, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also disclose such
information in response to a specific law enforcement agency's request.
Mailing List - The Foundation does not rent, sell, give away, or trade its donor lists or any information contained
on those lists. Donor information is used by the Foundation for charitable purposes only, as described above, and
will not be used to any entity outside of the Foundation.
Security - We have put in place certain physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information
we collect online and offline to:
- help prevent unauthorized access to such information
- maintain security of such information
- correctly use such information.
However, because of the global nature of the Internet, when you give
us information online, that information may be sent electronically to servers outside of the country where you
originally entered the information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be
100% secure. This site does not use security encryption measures. Therefore, information that you disclose by use
of this site (as with any site that allows non-encryptic communication), by posting a message or using e-mail,
potentially could be collected and used by others. This may result in unsolicited messages from third parties or
use of such information by third parties for their own purposes, legal or illegal. As a result, while we strive
to protect your personal information, the Foundation cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you
transmit to us.
