(Honesdale, May 15, 2012)…Wayne Memorial’s Hospice Department will host a Spring memorial service on Sunday, May 20th at 3pm at Grace Episcopal Church in Honesdale for hospice patients who have passed away in the last six months.

Honesdale, PA (May 3, 2012) -- Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is pleased to announce that Mehran Langroudi, M.D., board certified obstetrician/gynecologist, has joined the staff of Women’s Health Center located in Honesdale.

(Honesdale, May 2, 2012)…Wayne Memorial Hospital officially recognized its very first class of students graduating from the Luzerne County Community College Nursing Program at Wayne Memorial on Tuesday, May 1st.

(Honesdale, May 2, 2012)… Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC), a clinical affiliate of Wayne Memorial Health System, has been awarded two grants totaling $1,868,666 from the federal government through the Affordable Care Act. The money will go towards capital improvements and expanding services and facilities in Wayne County and in Pike County (below).

(Honesdale, April 30, 2010)… Non-profit groups seeking funding may qualify for a Community Mini-Grant from the Wayne Memorial Health Foundation (WMHF).

(Honesdale, May 1, 2012)…Wayne Memorial rolled out the red carpet for its more than 200 volunteers on Friday, April 20th. The volunteers, who donated 35,000 hours of service last year, were feted and spotlighted at an Oscar-themed luncheon in their honor at Ehrhardt’s on the Waterfront, Tafton.

(Honesdale, April 30, 2012)…Carol Reed of Lake Ariel was just 34 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. Today, Carol is one of ten breast cancer survivors featured in this year’s Gallery of Hope, a traveling display sponsored by Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

(Honesdale, PA, April 24, 2012)…At its annual check presentation to Wayne Memorial Hospital, the hospital’s Auxiliary surprised everyone with a second check for Wayne Woodlands Manor, Wayne Memorial’s long-term care home in Waymart.

(Honesdale, April 26, 2012)… Wayne Memorial Hospital officially opened its new Forest City Outpatient Center on Monday, April 23rd. The center, located adjacent to Dr. David Tomazic's office at 632 Main Street, currently offers Laboratory Services' blood draws from 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. X-ray services coming soon.

(Honesdale, March 7, 2012)…Grief is a normal part of the life cycle, but it’s also a very individual process. Each of us grieves in our own way over the loss of a loved one. Wayne Memorial’s Hospice Team is offering a six-week workshop at no charge designed to provide education and support for those coping with the grieving process.
