Auxiliary Presents Record Breaking Check to Hospital
Auxiliary President Sandra Meagher and her officers presented their gift at the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 19th at Ehrhardt’s on the Waterfront in Tafton. The proceeds represent the hard work of more than 200 Auxilians, who raise money through The Other Shop, The Other Shop II, the hospital Gift Box store and annual fundraisers such as the Mistletoe Ball and Showtime at the Ritz. Other projects include selling jewelry, books, Christmas cookies and antiques, as well as raffles, bus trips and much, much more. The bulk of the check, $80,000, will benefit the Hospital’s New Beginnings’ Birthing Suites and the remaining $12,000 will be donated to Wayne Woodlands Manor, the hospital’s long-term care facility in Waymart.
