Wayne Memorial Welcomes Hematology/Oncology Physician

Dr. Sholi is dual board-certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology, both subspecialties of Internal Medicine, in which he is also board-certified. After internship and residency at the Scranton Temple Residency Program in Scranton, Dr. Sholi went on to complete a three-year fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Sholi received his medical degree from Jordan University in Amman, Jordan in 1994.

Most recently, Dr. Sholi was on the staff of the Cancer Center of Sarasota Manatee in Sarasota, Florida.

“I’m very happy to be back at Wayne Memorial and look forward to working with patients and staff in the clinic,” said Dr. Sholi.

Dr. Sholi joins a nursing staff at Wayne Memorial certified in both oncology care and infusion services. In addition, he will work closely with other physicians in the care of Wayne Memorial Hospital patients.

Wayne Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Care and Infusion Clinic serves more than 300 patients yearly and can accommodate up to 12 patients at a time. In addition, Wayne Memorial also offers diagnostic, surgical, nutrition and specialized rehabilitation services for oncology patients.

“Dr. Sholi is highly respected in his field and we are pleased that he is returning to Wayne Memorial,” said the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer David Hoff. “We anticipate that he will help us grow our cancer services for the hospital and the community.”

Dr. Sholi is now seeing patients at Wayne Memorial on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Appointments may be made by calling the clinic at (570) 253-8398 from 7:30am to 4pm.
