Mehran Langroudi, M.D Joins Women's Health Center
“We are excited to have Dr. Langroudi join our current staff of obstetrician/gynecologists and nurse midwives,” said Frederick Jackson, executive director, WMCHC. “Considering Wayne Memorial Hospital remains one of a decreasing number of facilities within the region offering maternity services, it is vital that we recruit and retain the finest physicians.”
Dr. Langroudi was most recently affiliated with Waynesboro Hospital in Southern Pennsylvania where he served as the chair of obstetrics and gynecology / pediatric services. He performed residency training at the University of Maryland Medical System, Baltimore, MD and Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He also completed fellowship training at Geisinger in the area of advanced pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. He received a Doctor of Medicine Diploma from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran.
“From the beginning, in medical school, I knew I wanted to work within the field of Obstetrics/Gynecology,” said Dr. Langroudi. “I like to be involved in bringing new life into the world and share the happiness with families as they welcome their new addition.”
Among his many academic and personal achievements, Dr. Langroudi’s research has been published in periodicals including World Journal of Urology and International Urogynecology Journal. He is eager to utilize his advanced training in the treatment of incontinence to educate patients on the alternatives for care, “this is an issue that can be treated with non-surgical modalities as well as surgical treatment. Often patients do not realize they can be evaluated for either and as a result, the condition goes unresolved.”
The Women’s Health Center is staffed by obstetrician/gynecologists and certified nurse midwives who provide obstetric, gynecological and confidential family planning services. Offices are located in Honesdale, Lords Valley, Hamlin and Waymart. Most private insurances including Blue Shield, First Priority, Geisinger, Aetna and United Healthcare are accepted as well as PA Access and Medicare. WMCHC is a federally qualified health center clinically affiliated with Wayne Memorial Health System.
