(Honesdale, February 26, 2004)… "This will be something to see!" says John Conte, Facility Services Director for Wayne Memorial Hospital. "We’re bringing in a crane big enough to stretch a 30-ton bridge across the Lackawaxen. The crane alone is going to stop traffic."

(Honesdale, February 17, 2004)…Wayne Memorial Hospital is proud to announce an agreement has been signed with Margaret McDonald, a 42 year old mother of three from White Mills, to reimburse her for educational costs in return for service. (Honesdale, February 9, 2004)…Wayne Memorial Hospital presented Honesdale Borough with a check for $2,500 at a borough council meeting Monday night. The money was in response to an appeal by council members to all tax-exempt property-owners in the borough to help reduce an estimated budget shortfall of more than $137,000.

(Honesdale, January 25, 2004)… Congressman Don Sherwood (R-10th District) will visit Wayne Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 9, at 9:30am to announce $300,000 in U.S. Government funding for the hospital.
