(Honesdale, March 25, 2005)… The In-School Winter Walking Program has been extended to April 28^th, almost a full month beyond its planned end date of March 31^st. The reason? The winter isn’t really over. "Here it is the end of March, and it’s still cold and slippery outside," said Donna Decker, RN, Manager of Community Health Programs for Wayne Memorial Health Systems. Wayne Memorial runs the In-School Winter Walking Program in conjunction with area schools.

(Honesdale, March 23, 2005)… "I wish I had it done years ago," says Paul Thompson of Lake Ariel, "I could hardly walk before the surgery. Now I’m doing pretty good and I rarely take any pain-killers.
