(Honesdale, October 7, 2005)…A flu vaccine clinic scheduled for this coming Tuesday in Honesdale has been pushed back to Tuesday, November 15th. Wayne Memorial’s Home Health Department has to postpone its flu clinics in Wayne and Pike Counties, due to a “shipment delay by the manufacturer.” Mary Lou Hoffner, RN, Home Health Manager, says the delay took her by surprise—and not pleasantly. “I’m concerned, because we were told the vaccine would be in our hands in time for the clinics we scheduled, and changes can cause hardships for seniors and others in need. But they won’t have to go without, we have new dates!”
WMH’s Home Health Department administers flu shots in conjunction with the Wayne County and the Pike County Area Agencies on Aging. Here are the revised dates:
