(Honesdale, March 21, 2006)… Another business backs up its support for Operation Vital Signs, Wayne Memorial Hospital’s capital campaign, with a financial boost. PPL Electric Utilities recently donated $6,000 to the campaign as “a worthy community cause,” according to PPL’s Paul Canaveri. The company’s Regional Community Relations Director is shown here presenting a symbolic check to David Hoff, Wayne Memorial Health System’s Chief Executive Officer (left). “Operation Vital Signs is an investment in the future of healthcare in our area,” said Hoff, “and PPL’s commitment to the campaign helps insure that investment. We are grateful for the company’s support.” Operation Vital Signs, a $3,000,000 campaign launched last year, is more than 75% towards its goal in pledges. It’s part of a $22 million capital expansion project, which began with completion of the Hospital’s new Emergency Department last fall and continues this year with expansion in the Radiology Department.
