Photo Caption: Opening Day has arrived for the new acute-care inpatient rehabilitation unit at Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH). The new 14-bed unit located on the third floor of WMH’s new building on Park Street offers both private and semi-private rooms, a fully functional kitchen and state-of-the-art assistive technology. Wayne Memorial’s partnership with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network (GSRN), a nationally recognized specialist in rehabilitation, will provide the most advanced rehab services to our community. The unit offers specialized programs for adult patients who require physical, occupational, speech and other rehabilitation therapies for a variety of conditions, including arthritis, stroke, certain hip and knee replacements, brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputations.
