(Honesdale, September 18, 2006)…A new era begins at Wayne Memorial Hospital on October 1st, and the Hospital is holding a multi-department Open House to celebrate. Wayne Memorial will become the area’s only hospital with a totally tobacco free campus. No smoking or other tobacco use will be permitted on its property anywhere, including parking lots, driveways, ramps, entryways, etc.
The public is invited to help launch the tobacco free campus and tour new services at the hospital on Sunday, October 1, from 1 to 4pm. Enjoy guided tours of Wayne Memorial’s new Sleep Laboratory and Regional Wound Care Clinic, as well as the new Inpatient Rehabilitation unit (a partnership with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network). See screening demonstrations of the new MRI and state-of-the-art 64-slice CT Scan at the Hospital.
