PHOTO CAPTION: More than $15,000 was raised for Wayne Memorial Hospital’s capital campaign at the Hospital Auxiliary’s 66th annual Mistletoe Ball. The popular dinner dance drew 212 patrons to Ehrhardt’s on the Waterfront in Tafton on January 20th. While ticket sales were good, said Ball Co-Chair Jennifer Hoff, almost as much money was raised through donations of cash or items for the ball’s silent auction. This year’s auction included some unusual gifts, such as use of a mini-excavating machine for a day or a party package for 50 guests. Other gifts included a five-hour limousine ride anywhere of your choosing, a destination-spa massage and several weekend getaways. Castek’s Floral Shop, Honesdale, donated the centerpieces and other floral decorations. The Wayne Memorial Medical Staff paid for the live band, Shannon Breeze. The dance floor was crowded right up until the very end of the evening!
