(Honesdale, December 7, 2006)… Wayne Memorial’s Home Health Department will offer a flu clinic, open to all adults, on Wednesday, December 13, at the Wayne Memorial Medical & Professional Complex at the Stourbridge Mall on Maple Avenue and Route 6—about ½ mile west of the Hospital. The clinic hours will be from 10am – 12 noon and from 2pm – 5pm. “We have extra vaccine this year,” says Mary Lou Hoffner, RN, Manager of WMH Home Health, “and we know there are still people out there who would like to receive the vaccine.” Flu shots are covered by Medicare, First Priority and Geisinger health insurance plans, according to Hoffner. Otherwise, the cost of the vaccine is $18 per adult. A prescription is not required. WMH Home Health, in conjunction with Area Agencies on Aging, routinely offers flu clinics each year at senior centers, community halls and pharmacies in Honesdale, Hamlin, Waymart, Damascus, Milford and Lords Valley.
