HONESDALE PA, October 17, 2007—“It’s going to be very elegant—and fun,” says Janet Lienert, Chair of the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Mistletoe Ball Committee. The Committee, seen here, set the date for the 67th annual dinner dance event as January 19, 2008. It will take place at Ehrhardt’s on the Waterfront in Tafton. Traditionally, the Mistletoe Ball includes dancing to live music, butler-served hors d’oeuvres, a choice of entrees and a silent auction for items donated by local businesses. “This year, we’re going to shake things up a bit,” Lienert adds. Without giving away the details, she says, “We’ll have a few surprises for our guests. I think they’ll really enjoy it.” Proceeds from the event will help the Auxiliary meet its $570,000 pledge to the Hospital’s capital campaign, Operation Vital Signs. The pledge has already earned the hard-working 200-plus members of the Auxiliary the right to name the new Women’s Imaging Center at the Hospital.
