Laura Tregidgo Named Employee of the Year

Click here for a larger viewClick here for a larger view Laura Tregidgo “always gives 100%,” according to her coworkers in the Same Day Surgery Department at Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH). Tregidgo was named the Hospital’s Employee of the Year 2007 at the annual employees’ holiday party at Woodloch Pines in December.  Tregidgo, a Surgical Technician, is also known outside of her job for going above and beyond. She works as an EMT in her hometown of Pleasant Mount, where she lives with husband Rich. Friends say Laura Tregidgo often “gives rides to and from work to those in need.” Tregidgo, who was the Hospital’s Employee of the Month of January, was chosen by employees of the month of the year before. “I’m really flattered and honored,” she said, accepting the award. Others honored at the holiday party as employees of the month for 2007 were Donna Cortright, RN; Gloria “Jean” Diehl, Dietary Services; Deborra Rickert, Wound Care; Joe Grecco, Maintenance; Tammy Kellam, Environmental Services; Dave Glossenger, Environmental Services; Carol Kneier, Registered Dietitian, MS, CDE; Tim Huber, Bio Med; Renee LaPoint, LPN; Barbara Metzger, RN; Joyce Malicky, Volunteer Services. “We have one winner at year end,” said Liz McDonald, Director of Human Resources, “but really, all these employees are winners.” Tregidgo is pictured with husband Rich.
