(Honesdale, PA, March 21, 2008)…Sometimes you just need a hug. A pretty spring blossom brought that sense of warmth to Joann Vanorden, a patient at Wayne Memorial Hospital, as Alice Conbeer handed her a pansy. Known for its fundraising efforts for the Hospital, Wayne Memorial’s Auxiliary also is involved in community service and this is one way they give back to the community.  Each year, Easter flowers are distributed to Hospital patients, as well as residents of Wayne Memorial’s long-term care facilities, Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart and Wayne Delaware Manor in Beach Lake. The Auxiliary distributed lots of hugs today thanks to organizer Carol Charmers and Bette Brown, Karen Burlein and Conbeer who distributed the flowers.
