(HONESDALE, PA, June 11, 2008)—Three years after his 2005 graduation from Honesdale High School, Jake Reese was awarded the Ernest and Margaret Lemnitzer Scholarship by the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (WMHA). “I’m very happy,” Reese said after receiving a check for $6,517.98 towards his nursing education. While working in resident care at Bethany Village, Reese decided to change his major this fall to Nursing at the University of Scranton. This made him eligible for the Lemnitzer Scholarship, a fund managed by Honesdale National Bank (HNB) and directed specifically to a Honesdale High School graduate who is or will be studying nursing in the fall semester.
