(Honesdale, June 3, 2008)…Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary members posed for a photo at the 58th annual meeting/2008 Spring Conference of the Pennsylvania Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries (PAHA) in Harrisburg in May. The conference theme, Auxilians: Change—Grow—Succeed, featured presentations and educational workshops on everything from trends and issues in healthcare to how to keep your hospital gift shop healthy and “out of the ER.” The WMH gift shop, called The Gift Box, celebrates more than 35 years this year. Conference speakers included Paula A. Bussard, a senior vice president with The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania and a motivational humorist, Mary Faktor. “It was fun and very informative,” said Janet Lienert, a past president of the WMH Auxiliary and currently the Vice President of PAHA. The WMH Auxiliary, one of the strongest in the state, also hosted one of the events. It has 200-plus active members.
