Graduation Day! Smiles and kudos all around for this group: they successfully completed the third and last series of classes in a Diabetes Management Project at Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH). Funded by a $57,000 grant from the Blue Ribbon Foundation/Blue Cross NEPA, the classes covered menu planning, food choices, exercise, lifestyle changes, medications and glucose monitoring. This class included 13 people with diabetes and seven support members.
