On Friday, September 12th, on the second floor of Wayne Memorial Hospital, “Books are Fun” will offer a variety of new books, games and other gift items for all ages, many at deep discounts. The sale will take place from 10am to 4pm.
Proceeds from the sale will go towards the Auxiliary’s $570,000 pledge to the Hospital’s capital campaign, Operation Vital Signs, which officially ended earlier this year. The Auxiliary is the campaign’s largest single donor. The new private women’s imaging suite at the Hospital is named after the Auxiliary, who is, according to Chief Executive Officer David Hoff, the “hardest working Auxiliary in the state of Pennsylvania.”
“We also have a book sale for ‘late starters’ on their Christmas list,” says Auxiliary President Helen Beck. “We’ll have another book sale on Thursday, December 4th, same time, same place—Wayne Memorial Hospital.”
The Auxiliary recently raised more than $900 for the Hospital with a handbag sale. Other sales this year at WMH include:
Uniform, Shoe, Accessory Sale Tuesday, September 23, 7am – 4pm
Masquerade Jewelry Sale Friday, October 24, 7am – 5pm
