The Materials Management staff of Wayne Memorial Hospital threw long-serving volunteer Marie Baldwin a party to thank her for her service. The Honesdale resident was retiring after putting in 1,013 hours over 13 years at the Hospital. “Marie has been a valuable volunteer to our department,” said Manager Lorie Smith. “We feel truly lucky to have had her here with us.” In addition to helping patients and visitors in many ways, Wayne Memorial volunteers also aid many departments with clerical work or other general assistance. The Hospital welcomes anyone with time to give, according to Volunteer Coordinator Joyce Malicky. If you would like to volunteer, call Joyce at (570) 253-8737.
