 (Honesdale, October 24, 2008)… On November 1st, one of the area’s most popular winter fitness programs kicks off—walking in local schools after school hours. The program, a partnership between Wayne Memorial Hospital’s Community Relations Department and Wayne Highlands, Western Wayne and Wallenpaupack Area School Districts, is open to anyone.    

      Here’s how it works: The following schools will open from 6pm to 8pm Monday through Thursday from the start of November through March 31st.  Each school has a log-in book. Walkers are encouraged to sign in each time they walk.  Registration is required for the program. There is a one-time $5 fee for processing ID badges, which are re-usable from year to year.
