For the second year in a row, the Wayne Memorial Health Foundation awarded Communities That Care (CTC) funding for special after-school programs. CTC, which serves children at risk, will use the monies for swimming lessons at Woodloch Sports Complex and for a martial arts/karate program at Preston School in Lakewood. The Foundation’s mini-grant initiative supports community organizations whose endeavors are focused on injury and disease prevention and treatment and the promotion of good health for the residents in the Wayne Memorial Health System service area.
