Alexander Pinsky, MD, has been in northeast Pennsylvania for more than seven years. He comes to Pediatric Practices from the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre.
“I came to Honesdale for many reasons, but the biggest one is that I wanted to be closer to my parents, who live in New York City,” said Dr. Pinsky. “I visit them often.”
Dr. Pinsky acquired his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Russian State Medical University in Moscow. His subsequent education included internships and residency training in pediatrics and pediatric anesthesiology in both Russia and later at the Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey; Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City; and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
While much of his career involved work as an attending physician at a hospital—the Guthrie Clinic, IRA Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath, New York and North Central Bronx Hospital in New York City—Dr. Pinsky also enjoyed a solo practice in Norwalk, Connecticut in the 1990s.
A father of two grown children, Dr. Pinsky and his wife Yelena hope to make the Honesdale area their home for a long time.
Dr. Pinsky joins PPNP Doctors Amy Betz, Paul Diamond, Theresa LaFranco, Robert Morton and Monika Pek; Physician Assistants Rebecca “Joey” Soward and Stephen Cahoon; and Nurse Practitioners Janet Eisele and Lee Gonzalez. The practice, with offices in Honesdale, Wa
