Click here for a larger view Wayne Memorial Hospital’s Tumor Board, which convenes regularly to discuss diagnoses and treatments of current cancer patients at the hospital, recently met the hospital’s newest surgeon: Brian Lenczewski, MD. Trained at New York Medical College, North Shore University Hospital on Long Island and Akron City Hospital, Dr. Lenczewski has performed numerous cancer-related surgeries, such as resecting colons, along with other general and laparocopic procedures. Wayne Memorial’s Chemotherapy and Infusion Clinic, which was threatened with closure last year, is still going strong, according to hospital CEO David Hoff. The hospital’s cancer program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.
