(Honesdale, PA, September 8, 2009)— Youngsters at the Wayne County YMCA summer camp were invited to create their own smiles this summer at the end of a fun and informative visit by staff from the Together for Health Dental Center. Led by Theresa Pfund, EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant), the mostly elementary school-age children learned how to properly brush their teeth with hands-on puppets and large toothbrushes, as well as watched a video about that cavity-forming enemy, plaque! The August visit to Lakeside School was made possible by Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers and a grant from the Blue Ribbon Foundation of Blue Cross.
