Wayne Memorial Radiology Services Our Radiology Department is available at four convenient locations: Wayne Memorial Hospital, Milford Professional Park, Pike County Medical Center and Hamlin Outpatient Center. The Radiology staff includes two physicians, 12 advanced level technologists and friendly, professional support personnel from Wayne Memorial Health System. Services: Mammography - Our highly trained, registered mammographers and FDA-approved equipment is available at Wayne Memorial and Pike County Medical Center. The new Senographe 800T Unit in Honesdale is designed for faster setup, quicker exams and excellent image quality. Ultrasound - Our recently expanded services include two Sonoline Elegra Systems with 3D, audio and handscanner for real-time imagery and fast, non-invasive diagnosis of ob/gyn, liver and kidney function, blood flow and orthopedic problems. Diagnostic Section (X-RAY) - Digital radiographic/fluorographic units linked to dry-film processor speed up procedure time and render faster images for wide range of diagnoses. This section also includes Tomography and Angiography (interventional radiology). Bone Density Testing Section - Our new Hologic DEXA-Scan offers the most accurate diagnosis and screening of osteoporosis and other bone disorders. Nuclear Medicine - Two state-of-the-art gamma cameras a 1998 ADAC Vertex Plus Dual-Head Gamma Camera and an Upgraded ADAC ACR 3000 with Pegasus 20 Technology use minimal radiation to provide the most accurate diagnoses in a variety of situations. Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT SCAN) - Our new GE FXI Helical High-Speed System means faster scans and no need to hold your breath. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - A Siemans 1.0 Tesla Unit provides the best technology for accurate diagnosis of orthopedic and ob/gyn conditions. |
